At the inaugural meeting of the Christchurch City Council on 25 October 2022, Mayor Phil Mauger appointed Innes ward Councillor Pauline Cotter as Deputy Mayor. See the minutes of the meeting or the article on the Council’s Newsline site for more information.
The first ordinary meeting of the Council be held on Wednesday 2 November at 9.30am.

The inaugural meeting of the Christchurch City Council for the 2022/2025 triennium will be held this afternoon 25 October at 4pm in the Council Chambers. Aside from procedural matters (declarations, explanation of statutory requirements, appointment of Councillors to Community Boards) an agenda item of note is the appointment of a Councillor as Deputy Mayor. It is not yet known who this will be.
