What is VoteWatchNZ?

VoteWatchNZ independently monitors local government voting on key issues in Aotearoa New Zealand. VoteWatchNZ is not affiliated with any Council or political party. For an official source of Council information, please refer to the relevant organisation.

Who is VoteWatchNZ?

Simon Britten is the founder and curator of VoteWatchNZ. In 2016 Simon founded the hyperlocal news and community engagement project Think Papanui, and since 2019 Simon has been an elected Community Board member representing the Papanui Ward in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Status

VoteWatchNZ is currently in the setup phase, and will launch after the 2022 local body elections. Keep an eye on our social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) for more news, and if want to be among the first to know, subscribe for email updates.
